The evolution of intraoral scanning has significantly transformed the digital workflow for implant-supported full-arch rehabilitation. Scanning edentulous patients and multiple implants has traditionally presented significant challenges due to the lack of anatomical landmarks, implant distribution, soft-tissue mobility, and the cumulative errors that can occur during scanning. Recent advances in scanning technology and digital protocols have progressively improved the predictability and clinical applicability of these workflows.
This webinar will explore the evolution of digital implant scanning, with a particular focus on edentulous and All-on-X cases. Through clinical cases, we will discuss different scanning strategies and factors that influence the accuracy of full-arch digital impressions. The presentation will also highlight current approaches to improving scan accuracy and reducing cumulative errors, while discussing the clinical limitations that still need to be considered. The goal is to provide clinicians with a practical and evidence-based understanding of how modern digital workflows can be integrated into predictable full-arch implant rehabilitation.
